How We Protect Your Funds
Safeguards built into every escrow
When you give us money to hold, you are trusting us with it. These are the safeguards we use to protect your funds.
- Segregated accounts: client funds are held in separate escrow accounts and are never mixed with our own operating funds.
- Dual control: no money moves unless two authorized people approve it.
- Fully executed release forms: every movement of funds requires a release form signed by the authorized parties. No signed release, no disbursement.
- Positive pay: our bank checks each check against our approved list before it clears, which guards against fraud and altered checks.
- Insurance: we are insured.
Ask us about any of these protections before you open an escrow. Learn more about how holdbacks work or our business escrow service, and consult with your attorney about how an escrow fits your transaction.
